How Does the Valeda Light Therapy System Work?

Who Can Benefit From This Treatment?

The Valeda Light Therapy System is available to individuals who have been diagnosed with Dry Macular Degeneration. It is especially beneficial to those who are in the early to intermediate stages of the condition.

 

What to Expect During the Treatment?

If you wear glasses or contact lenses, you will be asked to remove them prior to receiving treatment. You are not required to have eye drops before receiving treatment. You will be seated comfortably in front of the Valeda Light Therapy System. The clinician administering the treatment will guide you through each step of the treatment, which will take no more than 20 minutes.

 

How Much Does This Treatment Cost?

An initial visual assessment with be carried out to create a baseline for a fee of £65. For maximum benefit, the recommended treatment cycle is 9 treatment sessions, over a 3 week period. The cost per treatment cycle is £1,150. In order to spread the cost patients can pay £80 a month then £550 at the start of each treatment cycle. It’s recommended that treatment cycles are repeated every 4-6 months.
